Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (elec bias) on a permanent basis.

The Job you’ll do

  • Working as part of a team to ensure that plant and equipment are maintained in good working order.  

  • To be part of a team in developing systems, fixing problems, or creating solutions.

  • Carry out breakdown response and repair effectively, utilising good fault-finding and diagnostic techniques.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment aiming to achieve maximum plant availability.

  • Complete maintenance requisitions understanding priorities and overall effect on production.

  • Be involved in improvement projects

  • Be actively involved in the risk assessment procedure

  • Possess an understanding and knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and take part in QC stories, Major Breakdown Reporting, and any other problem-solving activities

  • Have a good knowledge of engineering standards

  • Proactively explore opportunities and corrective measures that sustain plant and equipment performance ensuring product is manufactured efficiently to high quality standards by eliminating unplanned downtime

  • Provide an innovative and proactive support service to the site, driving innovation for various activities

  • Have a flexible attitude to work and demonstrate initiative when working unsupervised

  • Able to effectively participate in cross-functional teams

  • Take part in annual competency-based testing and take proactive steps to address your personal development needs to maintain the required level of competence

  • To be available to cover overtime for sickness, holidays, shutdowns, projects, and any other business requirements.

About You

  • Full accredited apprenticeship within Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • HNC qualified ideally.

  • Multi skilled background ideally with an electrical bias.

  • Problem-solving tools and techniques.

  • Excellent Communications skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Willing to work a 3 shift system.
