MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious Engineering client, based near Newcastle, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a static role, where you will be responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance activities, to ensure the optimum performance of the factory. The Job You’ll Do;
Promote a culture where the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues is the absolute priority.
Ensure all statutory obligations, company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to at all times.
Act as a role model of company values and behaviours.
Work with the factory team to implement the strategic plan for the site.
Utilise a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate planned preventative maintenance and stock control.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, service and repairs.
Carry out reactive maintenance activities as required.
Ensure all relevant data is recorded accurately.
Application of the Management System to generate and facilitate continuous improvement practices across all areas of the manufacturing facility to optimise capability.
Work with the factory team and the wider business to make a positive contribution to the local community.
Continuously strive to improve the environmental performance of products and operations.
About You;
Time Served, Advanced Apprenticeship (L3) in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical) or equivalent.
The ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment undertaking PPM and TPM activities
High degree of Health & Safety awareness
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to mechanical machinery problems within a production environment
Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems
Computer literate in MS Word and Excel
Has knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation in a manufacturing workplace.
