Mtrec recruitment are representing their bespoke services client in their search for an experienced Senior Buyer. The role will be working in close collaboration with global teams and oversee the end-to-end procurement process of indirect and direct spends for the business. The job you will do: 

  • Overall responsibility for issuing purchase orders and operating subcontractors from the demand and sourcing stage to delivery.

  • Stablishing purchase orders and tracking until delivery.

  • Gathering needs and evaluating suppliers in preparation for negotiations, requests for quotes, and responsibility from the end of the negotiation stage until the completion of the contract with the supplier.

  • Responsibility for ongoing procurement operations with all relevant parties: suppliers, internal customers, and interfaces.

  • Handling and promoting proactive departmental tasks or intra-organizational requirements.

  • Handling defective products.

  • Understanding the internal customer's need, defining a budget framework, suggesting alternatives, and assisting in choosing the optimal solution.

  • Identify opportunities for proactive effective and streamlining processes.

  • Analysis of market trends to identify potential suppliers and alternatives.

  • Managing relationships with suppliers (local and foreign).

  • Leading cost reduction projects.

  • Negotiating commercial contracts and engagements

About you:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of commercial procurement experience is essential.

  • Ideally you will be CIPS Qualified, but this is not essential.

  • Experience with Global Procurement would be essential for the role.

  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Assertiveness and commercial negotiation abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and motivation.

  • High mastery of Excel.

  • Experience with SAP – Advantage.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work with multiple interfaces.

  • Service awareness and high learning ability
