The Company you will be working for;

MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. If you feel you have the skills and experience required, then please apply for an immediate response.

The Job you will be doing;

A Production Operator is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, or testing electronic components and subassemblies in a cell according to company standards and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic parts, wiring, or subassemblies following diagrams or work instructions.

  • Operate small tools, soldering irons, or testing equipment safely and accurately.

  • Inspect components for defects or deviations from specifications.

  • Perform rework or touch-up soldering when necessary.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.

  • Record production data, such as quantities, defects, and time taken.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, according to the Health and Safety Executive.

  • You will be working 2 shift patterns alternate weeks at 6:00 am - 2:00 pm and 2:00pm - 12:00 am

About you;

  • Technical training or prior experience in electronics assembly is an advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).

  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings or assembly instructions.

  • Experience in soldering (preferred but not always required).

  • Attention to detail and quality.

  • Basic computer or documentation skills.

  • Hand soldering of conventional components to IPC standards
