MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a new Sewing Machinist to join their Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, join, reinforce, or decorate various products related to their industry. The Job You’ll Do;

  • Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch, join, and finish products according to specifications.

  • Read and interpret sewing patterns, blueprints, or work instructions.

  • Ensure the quality of finished products by inspecting and correcting any defects.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area.

About You;

  • Have some form of experience in the use of Sewing Machines.

  • Have a willingness to learn.

  • Have a ‘can do attitude.

  • Be able to follow instruction, both verbal and written.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Adhere to quality and health and safety standards.
