MTrec are proudly representing our bespoke manufacturing client in their recruitment for a talented and dedicated Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled). The company are a global powerhouse in their respective market and are recognised as the premier manufacturer in the world of their bespoke product. The company also boast a long history, spanning over a century in industry.

The role will be working a continental style shift pattern, consisting of 12-hour shifts, days and nights.

The Job you will do:

  • As a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems within the factory.

  • You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment throughout all areas of the facility.

  • As an engineer, you will be interrogating PLC systems to accurate identify faults with electrical equipment

  • You will also use electrical schematics and drawings to diagnose and repair issues when required.

  • You will be working both individually and as part of a maintenance team, so you will be required to work collaboratively on engineering projects.

 

About you:

  • You will be educated to a minimum of NVQ L3 in an engineering discipline and be time served in a relevant apprenticeship.

  • You will have strong PLC skills, and an aptitude for reading electrical schematics and drawings

  • It is essential you have proven experience of maintaining, repairing and overhauling a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment within a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong IT Skills are essential

  • A HNC/HND or degree qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
