MTrec Technical are working with their long term and highly prestigious manufacturing client, in their search to appoint an experienced logistics manager on an initial temporary assignment. You will be working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment, with an excellent team that is able to provide the training and support you need to make an immediate impact. Your New Role;
Day to day operation of Despatch, Materials and stores functions in line with Company procedures.
Management and control of customer and supplier schedules through the operation of EDI.
Timely distribution of supplier schedules.
Ensure all customer schedule demands are met with 100% accuracy and delivered on time every time.
Maintain data accuracy, ensuring transactions are completed in real time.
Stock control using visual management and max / min techniques.
Ensure timely picking and distribution of parts.
Introduce and coordinate material supply solutions to support delivery to point of use.
Support line feed development.
Maintenance of maximum and minimum conditions of raw materials and finished goods achieving Stock Turn KPI.
Apply batch control and rotation of parts ultimately achieving FIFO.
Timely escalation of any potential shortages.
Maintain housekeeping to standard.
Support all stock accuracy activities (Stock takes).
Continuously develop packaging solutions with launch, purchasing, customers and suppliers.
Control and maintenance of customer and supplier packaging
Control of obsolescence achieving zero cost for end of production life programs.
Support AQP activities when required.
About You;
Previous logistics/supply chain management experience.
Previous automotive manufacturing experience.
Strong MRP/ERP experience.
Excellent customer and supplier interface skills.
Proactive, diligent and self-motivated.
Team player, able to initiate, develop and maintain productive working relationships.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate a positive impression.
Highly IT Literate.
Available to start a temporary assignment immediately.
