The Company
Our client is a specialist engineering company. Sustained growth has led to their current requirement for a Store Person.
The Role
You will be managing inventory, ensuring materials are readily available for production and maintaining organised and efficient warehouse operations.
Receive, unload, and unpack incoming materials and parts.
Inspect and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
Ensure all incoming materials are properly labelled, stored and documented in the inventory system.
Maintaining records of Goods in and Goods Out.
Organise and maintain inventory in a neat and orderly manner to aid easy retrieval.
Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages and initiate reordering processes.
Coordinate with purchasing and production departments to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
Prepare and package materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse.
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols in handling materials.
Will be working a permanent day shift.
The Person
Will have a valid counterbalance license.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Good communication skills.
Ability to use own initiative.
Energetic.
Experience working within an engineering manufacturing environment would be preferable.
