About the Role:

  • As a Production Administrator, you will play a vital part in planning, stock control, customer service, and coordinating with third-party carriers. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager, Purchasing, Sales, and Distribution teams to ensure production runs efficiently and customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting usage to the Purchasing team.

  • Investigating and correcting stock volume, location, and batch discrepancies in the system.

  • Confirming production runs and assisting with confirmations to maintain accurate stock availability.

  • Using system reports to progress sales orders.

  • Preparing picking sheets and delivery tickets for third-party haulage and coordinating with the warehouse for dispatch.

  • Purchasing repeat items such as pallets, and other packaging materials.

  • Working with the Production Manager to ensure required packaging is available for upcoming production runs.

  • Liaising with Sales and Distribution teams on stock availability and order lead times to support excellent customer service.

  • Overseeing loading processes and completing required paperwork for export and special orders.

  • Collecting and preparing filling efficiency data for management reporting.

  • Supporting personal and team development through training and continuous improvement.

  • Carrying out any reasonable duties required in line with operational needs.

  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and HR procedures.

About You:

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within production and manufacturing – this is essential.

  • Happy with a hands-on role, where you will need to check orders and deliveries for accuracy, within the yard, as well as serve customers face to face,

  • Excellent organisational and data-accuracy skills.

  • Confident using reporting systems and digital tools.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Experience dealing with customers or supporting customer service processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
