Working Hours;

  • Full time, 39 hours per week

  • Mon-Thur 08:00 – 16:30, Fri 08:00 – 15:30, + Occasional Overtime

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Consulting managers/clients about design requirements

  • Investigating appropriate materials and production processes

  • Nesting & programming Tube Laser for products

  • Programming robot weld cell for products

  • Producing sketches and sample designs

  • Testing product designs using models, prototypes, specialist computer software and computer-aided design (CAD) technology

  • Maintaining awareness of current design trends and influences

  • Liaising with sales, purchasing and production departments

  • Correcting product faults

  • Presenting designs, samples and/or final work to customers for evaluation

  • Producing Risk Assessments & Method Statements for the installation of products

About You;

  • Engineering technical knowledge, ideally within welding/fabrication

  • 3D CAD software knowledge (Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks preferred, although open to any software package)

  • Desire and enthusiasm to learn.

  • Commercial awareness

  • Quality management

  • Effective communication skills

  • Capable to self-organise tasks

  • Strong Microsoft office skills

  • Capable of working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
