MTrec recruitment are proudly representing our long standing, engineering client, based in the heart of Northumberland.

The company are recruiting a manufacturing engineer to join a diverse team of engineer professionals and contribute to the improvement of operations and manage a caseload of engineering projects.

The Job you will do:

  • Create, amend, and optimise CNC programs and associated tooling data.

  • Participate in feasibility reviews to support effective planning and decision-making.

  • Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Liaise with external tooling suppliers to drive cost savings and implement tooling enhancements.

  • Lead engineering projects from initial concept through to successful completion.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to shop-floor personnel during setup and machining activities.

  • Perform any other reasonable duties required to support operational and business needs.

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of CNC turning and milling processes (Essential).

  • Experienced in CNC programming, including Fanuc-controlled turning and milling machines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Able to make well-considered decisions and communicate them effectively.

  • Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Willingness to undertake new tasks and responsibilities as required.
