They are now looking to recruit an Internal Technical Sales Representative to support the business on a permanent basis. The Job You’ll be Doing

  • Analyse customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their specific requirements.

  • Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products.

  • Deliver product presentations to customers.

  • Handling inbound customer and representative sales calls

  • Answer inbound calls; take messages or redirect calls to the appropriate department

  • Ensure orders are entered on time and accurately into the ERP system

  • Provide technical training to sales team members to enhance their understanding of the company’s products and improve their selling techniques.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, product datasheets, and application notes to support sales and marketing efforts.

  • Develop sale strategies, identifying opportunities, and closing deals.

  • Provide technical assistance during pre-sales and post-sales interactions to address customer inquiries effectively.

  • Basic RMA/Handoff and customer complaint administration

  • Sales inbox triage

  • Liaise across internal departments to ensure customers’ needs are met

  • Support the wider team functions and carry out other tasks where required

 

About You

  • Previous internal technical sales experience is required.

  • A background working in manufacturing or engineering is essential.

  • Experience of working with technical documents and drawings.

  • Experience of working with an ERP system.

  • Able to provide customers with quotations and other pricing information.

  • Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, proportions.

  • Highly IT literate.

  • Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events.
