They are now looking to recruit an Internal Technical Sales Representative to support the business on a permanent basis. The Job You’ll be Doing
Analyse customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations.
Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products.
Deliver product presentations to customers.
Handling inbound customer and representative sales calls
Answer inbound calls; take messages or redirect calls to the appropriate department
Ensure orders are entered on time and accurately into the ERP system
Provide technical training to sales team members to enhance their understanding of the company’s products and improve their selling techniques.
Create and maintain technical documentation, product datasheets, and application notes to support sales and marketing efforts.
Develop sale strategies, identifying opportunities, and closing deals.
Provide technical assistance during pre-sales and post-sales interactions to address customer inquiries effectively.
Basic RMA/Handoff and customer complaint administration
Sales inbox triage
Liaise across internal departments to ensure customers’ needs are met
Support the wider team functions and carry out other tasks where required
About You
Previous internal technical sales experience is required.
A background working in manufacturing or engineering is essential.
Experience of working with technical documents and drawings.
Experience of working with an ERP system.
Able to provide customers with quotations and other pricing information.
Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, proportions.
Highly IT literate.
Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events.
