The Job You’ll Do;

  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of HSE legislation and best practise

  • Advise management on compliance

  • Undertake work to ensure the correct policies and procedures are in place to comply with HSE legislation and meet the requirements of ISO14001 & ISO 45001

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HSE issues, developing good relations with stakeholders and actively promoting a good HSE culture.

  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of HSE legislation and best practise.

  • Report to senior management deficiencies, giving guidance on best practice and suggesting practical solutions.

  • Update, develop and maintain health, safety and environmental systems across the business to comply with all legislation and achieve / maintain certification to ISO14001

  • Carry out HS&E Inspections and Audits.

  • Ensure follow up actions and non-conformances completed/closed out to correct standard in timely manner.

  • Collect HSE performance data, analyse and report to management, identifying trends and opportunities for further improvement.

  • Lead, support and participate in improvement activities.

  • Co-ordinate and deliver comprehensive health, safety and environmental training including inductions, new initiatives, statutory training and refreshers to promote, develop and sustain a positive HS&E awareness culture as well as ensuring legal compliance.

  • Development and maintain the emergency preparedness and response process.

  • Prepare and facilitate HSE audits to demonstrate compliance to third parties.

About You;

  • Experience in a HSE related role with a NEBOSH certificate/diploma and experience with QMS (ISO 14001 & 45001)

  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing industry is beneficial

  • Process driven and task orientated

  • Ability to influence and motivate others
