MTrec Technical are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading precision engineering and manufacturing organisation, seeking a CFD Engineer to join their growing team in the heart of Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a passion for thermal analysis and fluid dynamics to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
In this role, you’ll work closely with internal design teams to evaluate thermal concepts and provide insight through detailed CFD analysis and reporting. You'll also play a key role in customer engagements, offering technical support and presenting findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
The Job you will do:
To work with internal Design Engineers to analyse, in detail, thermal concepts and designs.
To carry out thermal analysis and create technical reports based on the results of the CFD analysis.
To support and participate in customer meetings/reviews, discussing the results of the analysis.
To liaise with Design Engineering to ensure a robust understanding of the CFD results.
To work with and support the Sales Department function, if required
To ensure that Customer related information is maintained and archived in accordance with Departmental procedures.
To work with due regard to Health and Safety requirements.
To ensure that 5S housekeeping targets are achieved in areas of control
About you:
Up to 3 to 4 years engineering experience in an analysis, design, development and manufacturing environment.
Familiar with the use of CFD tools to analyse concepts and designs
Familiar with the use of CAD to generate 3Dmodels and 2D drawings.
Highly numerate and computer literate
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge and experience of using CFD software.
Whilst not essential, a knowledge of thermodynamics would be useful.
Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic aspects of engineering to enable analysis to be conducted would be useful
Commercially aware regarding design and development of product
