MTrec Recruitment are currently recruiting for a prestigious company in the Consett area.
The Job Role You Will Do;
Operating waste balers and compactors.
Preventing shortages by ensuring containers and storage capacity are maintained.
Carrying out litter picking and keeping the site clean and safe.
Managing waste and recycling storage areas to a high standard of housekeeping.
Handling hazardous waste, ensuring it’s labelled, stored, and disposed of correctly.
Managing WEEE waste storage and collections.
Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth waste management processes.
Following 6S principles and reporting hazards, near misses, and safety concerns.
Supporting health and safety on site by working safely and leading by example.
Carrying out other reasonable tasks as required.
About You;
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
Experience operating a forklift in a busy environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines.
A proactive, safety-first approach.
