Job description

The Company

Our client is a North East based manufactuer. Due to sustained growth they are now recruiting for a Warranty Engineer.

The Role

  • You will support in the the analysis of warranty return parts to improve warranty performance and customer satisfaction. 

  • Ensuring company and customer 3 months in service and warranty cost targets are achieved.

  • You make a significant contribution towards the improved performance of these products.

  • This will involve working closely with customers, major suppliers and manufacturing.

  • Coordinate 3 months in service target achievement set by company and Customer.

  • Coordinate warranty cost target achievement.

  • Manage parts analysis returned to site.

  • Manage parts analysis of returned parts to tier supply base.

  • Support NPL and safe launch for market issues.

  • Proactive approach to quality improvement activities.

  • Take lead with company and customers for quality improvements.

  • Warranty data trend analysis and proactively feedback to team.

  • Recharge warranty costs back to suppliers.

  • Send all claims lists to suppliers on monthly basis.

  • Manage supplier responses timely for warranty parts return.

  • Respect customer deadlines.

  • Support customer for warranty issues.

  • Regular meetings with customer for continuous follow up and improvements.

  • Support audits for warranty improvement activities.

  • Support and advise on warranty issues for continuous improvements.

  • Support corrective action activity for warranty issues.

  • Comply with Internal processes and procedures to assure IATF 16949.

The Person

  • Ideally qualified to minimum of HNC level in an appropriate discipline or equivalent level of experience.

  • Have experience within a similar role, gained in a fast moving, automotive manufacturing environment.

  • Self-motivated, proactive thinker and possess excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.

  • Excellent understanding of all aspects of warranty systems and processes.

  • Experiance in high volume manufacturing.

  • Good IT Skills .

  • Excellent understanding problem solving techniques.

  • Process auditing experience, ideally including an IATF/ISO auditor qualification.
