·         Dayshift, 40.5 hours

·         Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00

·         Fridays 07:00 - 11:30

The Job You’ll Do:

·   Produce bespoke manufacturing aids using a variety of manual milling, turning, and grinding machines along with a variety of other machines and hand tools.

·         Making precision tools (such as jigs, fixtures and press tools), special guides and holding devices.

·         The post is to work in a small team on site at the client’s main manufacturing facility.

·         Primarily work autonomously, however when required, work in a small project-based team along with engineering, quality and production team members.

·         Maintaining individual quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.

About You:

·         Previous experience within a similar role as Toolmaker within the engineering industry is essential.

·         The successful candidate will have an extensive background working in a toolroom or very similar environment (fitter turner for example).

·         Experience of setting and operating CNC milling machines or lathes would also be desirable, but not essential.

·         Problem solving and tool improvement.

·         Must be able to work on own initiative.

·         Attention to detail and accuracy of work.

·         Be organised and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task.

·         Be able to communicate effectively to own team and other departments.

·         Be efficient with working practices.
