The Hours You’ll Work;    

  • 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday-Thursday)

    08:00 – 16:00 (Friday)

The Pay You’ll Receive;       

  • £11.51 to £16.01

MTrec are currently recruiting for a renowned and respected manufacturing company based in the Shildon area. MTrec are currently looking for proactive individuals who are looking for a long term position.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Conduct detailed inspections of products on the shop floor, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Assist with customer non-conformance management to determine root cause and implement corrective / preventative actions, assisting in production of 8D reports.

  • Assisting in customer interaction through meetings, presentations, phone calls, emails

  • Highlight and escalate issues to the appropriate personnel or next level of management for prompt resolution.

  • Carry out laboratory test/inspection and report/rectify non-conformance issues.

  • Involved with and conduct internal and external audits / audit systems

  • Liaise and communicate with other departments.

  • Assist/support the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated.

  • Actively participate in small improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities to follow up on the effectiveness of corrective action plans.

  • Normal duties include: Report writing, taking measurements, non-conformance, corrective and preventive action, customer and supplier claims, document and record control, calibration, measurement, inspection and test.

  • Ensure all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental, are strictly followed, adopting a 'no walk past' approach.

  • Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts business financials, customer satisfaction and future orders.

About You;

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in quality assurance or quality control

  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

  • Being observant and technical minded to resolve technical and mechanical tasks

  • Being thorough and dependable (an eye for specifics and detail)

  • Able to use various measurement equipment / devices (incl: Aesthetic/visual)

  • Using good judgment and be willing to challenge the norm’s

  • Handling multiple tasks (multi-tasking / task management) – self starter

  • Use of Information technology

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Communication and listening

  • Equipment MSA, GR&R, CPk Studies.

  • Ability to utilise analytical, statistical and reliability tools of lean principles

  • Trained Internal Auditor would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of ISO Management Standards and Lean principles

  • Knowledge of FSC/PEFC
