Our client are specialists in their market sector. They are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer who has previous experience working in a machine shop/ machining environment.

The Job you’ll do

  • Support the Quality Manager with the execution and management of all forms of auditing.

  • Support and actively promote a culture of right first time within the business.

  • Support and promote the ethos of a Right First Time culture within the business and our extended supply chain.

  • Actively engage with the business’s NPI process and ensure that all your appropriate program stages are executed as required to ensure a compliant PPAP is submitted on time to the customer.

  • Ensure all assigned customer concerns are managed effectively to ensure their performance indicators are met, and the associated risks linked to the concern are managed effectively to ensure no repeat occurrences of the concern happen in the future.

  • Ensure all assigned internal concerns are managed effectively to ensure all associated risks linked to the concern are managed effectively and ensure no repeat occurrences of the concern happen in the future.

  • Ensure all assigned supplier concerns are managed effectively to ensure their performance indicators are met, and the associated risks linked to the concern are managed effectively to ensure no repeat occurrences of the concern happen in the future.

  • Act as an integral part of the NPI team and help to ensure the execution of the project is done in accordance with the NPI process and that all the required elements of the APQP process are completed.

  • Be accountable for the creation of the PPAP for the assigned projects that are compliant.

  • Be responsible for the assurance and management of the Quality Management System in conjunction with the Quality Manager to ensure that client remains compliant with the relevant quality standards.

  • Develop and lead the client CMM/Measurement strategy.

  • 1Support in the development of knowledge of the department and wider client group in the use of core quality tools.

  • Help to coordinate, execute and follow up on all types of auditing, internal, customer, and certification bodies.

  • Ensure systems and controls are documented within the Company Quality / Business Process Management System framework to sustain improvements.

  • On occasion, present progress and plans to company senior management

  • Support with the development of customer and business improvement plans and support their execution to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Support with the creation and communication of business quality KPIs and objectives performance.

  • Support with the creation and execution of the business’s Quality Management Reviews.

  • Support the business with the execution of any reasonable task that is not covered within the above.

About You

  • Recognised qualification in engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience working In machine shop/ machining environment – essential.

  • CMM experience- beneficial.

  • NPI experience- beneficial.

  • ISO9001 and PPAP previous experience.
