Working hours:

  • 2x shifts, Monday to Friday

  • 37.5 hours

  • 6am – 2pm

  • 2pm – 10pm

MTrec’s New Opportunity;

MTrec’s prestigious manufacturing client are looking to recruit a new QC Technician to join their growing organisation. The successful candidate should be experienced, self-motivated, and will be responsible for ensuring the company’s products meet the necessary quality standards to meet regulatory and customer standards. This role is varied in nature, with a mix of lab based, office and shop floor work, offering an interesting blend of departments and duties within the quality function.

This role is on a temporary basis initially, with the likelihood of permanent after 3-6 months

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Conducts visual and analytical tests of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure that materials being produced are within approved specifications.

  • Utilizes analytical measuring and test equipment such as callipers, etc. to determine acceptance or rejection of material or finished products.

  • Maintains laboratory equipment and instrumentation in good working order.

  • Ensures that calibrations for laboratory equipment are up to date and calibration records are maintained.

  • Interprets and works within the guideline of drawings, specifications, charts, procedures, and other data to determine acceptance or rejection of materials or finished products.

  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the analytical lab.

  • Assists in the review and disposition of non-conforming material, including dispositions or rework, scrap and return to supplier.

  • Assists in the review, inspection and disposition of customer returned material or products.

  • Assists in root cause analysis and corrective action reports.

  • Maintains accurate and current inspection and testing records such as Material Certifications, Inspection/Test Results and Reports, Certificates of Conformance, Rejection Reports/Tags

  • Coordinates and informs other departments of inspection and testing status in support of production and project goals and initiatives.

  • Promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participates in the construction and revision of SOPs.

  • Assists in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol, and checklists.

  • Manages and maintains the retain sample program.

About you;

  • 2 years’ experience as a QC Technician is preferred.

  • Must be familiar with ERP systems.

  • General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

  • Lab based experience would be an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour, and the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and prioritizing tasks to meet customer needs and deadlines.
