The Job you will do:
Improve manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment to reduce waste, improve output, and lower production costs.
Maintain and enhance quality standards, ensuring all products meet required specifications and customer expectations.
Identify risks, enforce health and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Monitor operational performance, support production planning, and help teams meet output targets.
Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement practical, long-term solutions.
Lead initiatives to minimise material usage and operational inefficiencies without compromising quality.
Facilitate smooth integration of new products into manufacturing, including tooling, documentation, and costings.
Provide hands-on support and training to production teams to improve technical skills and reduce process variation.
About you:
Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
Experience with process improvement, tooling/fixture design, and production troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving ability with a structured approach to diagnostics and solution development.
Able to liaise effectively across departments, including design, production, and management teams.
Confident in influencing teams, driving change, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Skilled in writing and adjusting CNC programs to support precision manufacturing.
Knowledge of timber and woodworking processes is advantageous but not essential
