Working Hours:

  • The role will be over 2 days for 16 hours per week.

  • This role requires flexibility to work up to full time hours for around 4 weeks per year to cover holidays.

  • There is an opportunity for over time, however this would be dependent on current pack lead structures.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Fully competent to stand in for a Shift Manager when required.

  • Effectively liaise with the Product Lead to ensure product quality and schedule adherence, rate, giveaway, quality.

  • Fully competent in line set up, adjusting, planning, and ensuring all areas are covered effectively to deliver plan.

  • Ensure Quality Assurance Specifications are understood and adhered to fully, addressing and monitoring any concerns and areas of improvement required.

  • Ensure final product meets all specifications.

  • First point of contact for all absence, holidays, and ER issues, planning effectively to ensure required personnel to deliver production plan.

  • Fully competent to train and verify competency on all relevant quality control checks. 

  • Fully competent to train Production Operators to successfully undertake their job.

  • Trained and competent in performing GMP audits in any area and ensure completed on schedule.

  • Trained and competent in performing Risk Assessment in own area and ensure completed on schedule.

  • Ensure all stock rotation, line clearance and traceability procedures are always adhered to.

  • Ensure all changeovers and cleans are organised, documented, and completed on time and pass allergen tests.

  • Support Shift Manager and deliver Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC, rate, waste, giveaway, and labour control)

  • Ensure all process control documentation is completed in time and in full consistently delivering 100% of effective document control.

  • Ensure all health and safety requirements for the line and the team are fully adhered to.

  • Ensure smooth running of all processing through to palletisation.

  • Ensure 100% accuracy in packaging, coding, and labelling.

  • To lead Continuous Improvement projects.

  • Lead the packing team to ensure SQDC delivered.

  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager. 

About You;

  • Experience working in production/manufacturing in a Team Lead/Supervisory role.

  • Good verbal and written English communication.

  • Good numeracy and IT skills

  • Level 2 Food Safety (business can provide if needed)

  • Level 2 Health and Safety (desirable)

  • Leadership and/or team building qualifications (desirable)
