MTrec Commercial are proudly representing our prestigious client on their search for an Operations Assistant to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis. This role is perfect for new graduates who have completed a degree within Business, Purchasing or Supply Chain who is keen to start their career within this field and gain hands on experience, as the company provide full training! The Role you will be doing;
First point of contact with customers, taking orders (inputting into ERP) and updating them on progress, reviewing and releasing discreet jobs as required to achieve the weekly production plan. Checks delivery reports in relation to final assemblies, liaising with the customer, negotiating alternative delivery dates etc.
Works in partnership with the Sales Manager and the wider team, to ensure detailed customer quotations are created and communicated, with the customer.
Setting up new customer accounts, sending price updates and coordinating customer samples with production and Sales.
Supports customers with initial technical queries, following a triage system before escalating more complex issues to engineering, as necessary.
Create change requests and have key participation in our change order process, chases progress as and when required, working closely with project management.
Lead the transfer of the generation of our export documentation from our 3rd party partner, bringing the system in-house. Creating and maintaining Certificates of Origin, movement certificates, ATA Carnets / duplicate lists etc.
Operates in collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders and our 3rd party partners, globally, to ensure our regulatory compliance and Corporate Social, Environmental and Economic responsibilities are developed, maintained and communicated with our customers, in an ever-demanding trading arena.

About You;
A recent degree in either Business, Purchasing or Supply Chain
Previous Operations experience
Experience within a highly flexible and lean manufacturing environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
Must be a self-starter, willing to learn and be able to develop and follow policies, procedures and processes.
Have the tenacity and assertiveness to co-ordinate and motivate internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of working directly and confidently with customers would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in English
Competence in German would be desirable
Experience of Oracle ERP would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be given.
Good experience and working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), is essential.
A passion for excellence; in serving our customers as well as the development of Environmental, Social, Economic and Ethical aspects of business, would be advantageous.
