Our clients are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician with an Electrical bias on a permanent basis.

If you have a multi skilled background with an electrical bias and are familiar with working in a high pressured fast paced environment this role could be ideal for you.

The Job you’ll do

  • Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing line machinery, facilities and equipment.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • This role ensures that all equipment operates at peak performance, adhering to safety and quality standards.

  • Preventive Maintenance:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.

  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and logs.

  • Experience with the following is a bonus:

  • 6 axis robots (ABB), conveyor systems, air replacement system, gas burners, compressor, jig tooling.

  • Quickly identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults in machinery.

  • Work with the maintenance team to resolve equipment failures and minimize downtime.

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint issues and implement solutions.

  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.

  • Implement upgrades and modifications to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.

  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.

  • Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Support PDCA, Kiazen and plant improvement activities.

  • Work closely with production, quality control, and engineering teams to ensure optimal performance.

  • Provide training and guidance to operators and other maintenance staff as needed.

About You

  • NVQ or equivalent maintenance technician certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.

  • Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
