The Company
This rare opportunity has arisen with our outstanding Cramlington based client. They are now looking for a motivated Maintenance Electrician to help their business grow and improve. This is an outstanding permanent opportunity for the ideal candidate to support the business needs.
The Role
Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
Complete planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities.
Continue to develop the planned preventative maintenance procedures emphasising on breakdown prevention.
Install and/or modify equipment as required.
Conduct a root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement effective reoccurrence prevention plans using resource available.
Work as part of the maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.
Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
Use of PC for accessing information, emails and completing reports.
Train and mentor apprentices.
Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
The Person
The successful candidate must have experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, possess excellent communication skills and have an electrical background with a good working knowledge of PLCs.
They must also be organised, be self-motivated and have a hands on approach to problem solving with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
Normal hours of work are 37 per week and will be on a three shift system.
