We are looking for a Facilities Electrician to join our client in Cramlington to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site.

The Job you’ll do

Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
Completion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures.
Maintenance of Manufacturing facilities (including PAT Testing, Testing and Maintenance of Emergency Lighting Systems, Fire Alarm Testing, CCTV Systems, Network Cabling and Small Fixed Wiring Installation Projects and Repairs).
Installation and/or modification of manufacturing equipment as required.
Root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown Reports.
Work as part of a manufacturing and facilities maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.
Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
Assisting with the training and mentoring of apprentices.

About You

To apply, we are looking for someone who has an electrical background, has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment with experience of both 3-phase and single-phase low voltage electrical distribution systems, installations & machines is also essential.
