The job you will do
Supporting business strategies through the development and engagement of individuals and the wider team.
Leading fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to ensure machine reliability and performance.
Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and executing reactive repairs to minimise downtime.
Driving continuous improvement by identifying, developing, and implementing enhancements to existing processes and equipment.
Producing and maintaining essential documentation to ensure consistent operation and compliance, including CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) updates.
Providing technical support to the production and facilities departments, taking initiative to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
Participating in the creation of a comprehensive facilities maintenance schedule across the site.
Supporting internal and external audits by ensuring compliance and implementing corrective actions for non-conformities.
Managing engineering stores and stock control to ensure availability of critical spares and parts.
Collaborating with Operations, Production Managers, and Team Leaders to resolve technical issues and optimise production flow.
Providing weekend, shift, or overtime cover when required to meet operational demands.
Carrying out any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Engineering & Facilities Manager.
About you
Recognised HNC (or equivalent) in a multi-discipline engineering field.
A minimum of 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a maintenance engineering role.
Strong fault-finding abilities and the capability to confidently read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide others.
Experience working with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) for maintenance planning and reporting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across departments.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a calm, solutions-oriented mindset under pressure.
Confidence in working within a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Excel and production/maintenance software, with the ability to produce, interpret, and act on data-driven reports.
