The Company

Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due growth they are now looking to recruit an Engineering Polisher.

The Role

Will be working permanent day shift Monday-Thursday.
Interpret engineering drawings.
Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror.
Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components.
Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes.
Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts.
In process and finished goods inspection.
Process auditing.
Signing first and last inspection reports.
Reporting of non-conforming parts.
Ensure zero defects reach end user.
Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package.

The Person

Must have previous polishing experience in an engineering company.
Experience of building special purpose equipment.
Experience in engineering.
Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions.
Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
