The Job You’ll Do;

  • As a skilled and dynamic Design Technician you will bridge the design intent with the manufacturability and execution of the solution.

  • Complete basic CAD tasks and modifications to existing designs

  • Understand manufacturing constraints and assist with determining manufacturing feasibility

  • Manage your assigned workload with multiple projects running concurrently

  • Liaise with design engineers to ensure the information produced represents engineering design and intent.

  • Participate in design reviews, site meetings, and technical discussions to gain experience

  • Provide support to sales and estimation roles

  • Produce general arrangement drawings, section details, and connection designs

  • Utilize AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, TEDDS, and Microsoft 365 for task execution (or equivalents of these packages).

  • Contribute to standardization efforts

About You;

  • HNC or above in a related subject such as design, engineering, manufacturing, etc. (or equivalent experience)

  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks (or equivalent)

  • Understanding of design, engineering and manufacturing processes

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, capable of handling concurrent projects.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information to non-technical stakeholders
