MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a new Production Planner to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis working within the Planning department. The Job You’ll Do.

• Taking the customer schedule and planning key machinery within the process.

• Working closely with production on all aspects of the plan.

• Ensure accurate forecasting and future planning.

• Proactive decision making is essential. Ensuring you have all possible scenarios covered.

• You must be able to make key decisions with minimal supervision.

• Working with bills of material.

• Proactive communication to the customer base.

• Using the in-house ERP/MRP systems.

• Checking the accuracy of stock.

• Have a high level of risk awareness.

• You will be using excel frequently, so you must be a comfortable user.

• Identify any potential shortages and implement counter measures.

• Support the business in any internal improvement projects.

About You;

• Production planning or materials planning experience is essential.

• Manufacturing experience is essential.

• Experience of working with an ERP/MRP system is essential.

• Experience of working with Excel is essential.

• It is also essential you are proactive and able to make decisions.

• You must have the experience and ability to assess any risks to materials and production and have solutions to minimise any impact to the business.

• You will have strong customer service and communication skills and be genuinely a true team player.
