MTrec are currently recruiting for a Storekeeper for a well-established manufacturing firm based in the Gateshead area.
The Job You’ll Do;
Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received
Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock
Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items
Updating inventory management systems regularly
Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift
Organising and delivering goods from the store to the section that requires it
Deliver finished goods to customer sites
Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and word processing software
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work methodically and quickly
About You;
Hold an in date drivers license
Experience in warehouse and distribution environment.
Methodical with the ability to prioritise workload
Experience using in house systems, ideally SAP.
Good communication and listening skills.
Ability to motivate the team to meet KPIs.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Problem solving skills.
A good accuracy level is essential.
Good numeracy and literacy.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team as required.
