MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their Assembly team on a full time and permanent basis. The Role you will be doing;
Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products following work instructions and drawings
Follow work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials
Perform hand soldering and/or operate soldering equipment as required
Use hand tools, assembly fixtures, and production equipment safely
Carry out visual inspections and basic functional testing
Identify and report defects, faults, or process issues
Accurately record production, quality, and test data
Maintain ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and a clean workstation
Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
Comply with all health, safety, and company procedures
About You;
Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination
Ability to read and follow instructions, working to high levels of accuracy
Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic understanding of electronic components
Hand soldering experience (through-hole)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills for machine interface and data entry
GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
On-the-job training is often provided
