MTrec Technical are representing our well established and forward-thinking manufacturing client in their search for a talented and motivated NPD Technologist. If you meet the job specification below, apply now for an immediate response!

The Job you will do:

  • To support the NPD team in the development, launch and maintenance of products by carrying out key technical, specification and artwork tasks.

  • Maintain organised and auditable technical records.

  • Create, update and maintain internal product specifications and technical data records.

  • Ensure product information is accurate, up to date and aligned with customer and internal requirements.

  • Support the management of product change control and version tracking.

  • Create and maintain case and pallet labels in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Review, check and approve customer artworks.

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to manage product specifications.

  • Provide support to NPD projects including data collection, document control and sample coordination.

  • Assist with factory trials and product launches where required.

  • Work with sustainability and packaging teams as required.

  • Assist with traceability exercises, mock recalls and internal / external audits where needed.

About you:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Be able to prioritise where applicable and work to deadlines.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP and BRC requirements

  • Ability to use specification systems and software for managing technical documents.

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.

  • Provide support to enable the business to meet food safety, legality, and specific customer requirements.
