Job Specification

The Role

• Despatch goods within agreed timescales.
• Manage goods inwards, including processing delivery notes.
• Manage and accurately report the delivery and receipt of intergroup manufactured parts, liaising with the operations team.
• Carry out general duties within the despatch bay e.g. issuing raw material to works orders, labelling pallets and distributing to the shop floor.
• Select correct orders and process information.
• Carry out clerical duties associated with the despatch of products.
• Accurately maintain the despatch MRP system.
• Carry out forklift duties.
• Operate the heat treatment oven and record the relevant quality requirements.
• Work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.
• Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.

The Person

• The successful candidate should have previous experience of working in a busy engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
• Should also hold a valid FLT licence.
• They will demonstrate a motivated approach to their work combined with an ability to work under pressure within time constraints.
