They are now looking to recruit a Graduate Engineer to work closely with their Senior R&D Technical Manager, and to be trained, developed and mentored in the business and to support the business in a number of design and engineering projects.

Job Specification
The Role
Provide support across 3 areas within their Technical and R&D Department;
- New Product Development (NPD)
- Research & Development (R&D)
- Continuous Improvement (CI)
Support their NPD Process via the following means;
- Assist in the creation and development of CAD drawings for internal and external use (we can provide training, but some basic understanding of CAD would be beneficial)
- Assist in the creation of CNC and CAD/CAM data (we can provide training, but some basic understanding of CAD would be beneficial)
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) Documents
- Assist in the creation of designs
- Offer administration support to our ERP system
Support their R&D functions via the following means;
- Assist in developing of processing techniques
- Actively seek new materials and processing equipment
- Assist in the understanding of new approval standards and testing requirements
- Support in testing of products.
Support their CI ethos via the following means;
- Provide technical support to our Production Department to improve processing
- Support in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Support our Quality Assurance Department in improving or quality output
The Person
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering/manufacturing subject background.
- You will have gained experience post degree within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ideally you will have experience within an R&D/Technical function.
- You will have 2D and 3D CAD Skills.
