Company Description

MTrec Recruitment is proudly representing our well established and highly prestigious client in their search to appoint an experienced Mechanical Fitter. You will be working on a 6-month assignment, supporting the client in a number of Special Projects as they transfer plant and machinery to different sites in the Newcastle area. If you are available to start a temporary assignment immediately and you have a background of machine moves and re-builds and commissioning, please apply for an immediate response.  

Job Specification

The Role

  • Working on a variety of projects you will strip down, dismantle a range of large precision machines.
  • Due to the size of the machines and parts you will be using lifting and slinging equipment.
  • Support the team in machine moves.
  • Rebuild the machines and commission them to working order.
  • Perform a range of assembly tasks.
  • Support colleagues in all areas of the projects.

The Person

  • Time-served Mechanical Fitter.
  • Able to strip down and re-assemble large precision machines.
  • You must be skilled in using slinging and lifting equipment.
  • Able to work to very exacting tolerances.
  • Able to read technical/engineering drawings.
  • Available to start a new temporary assignment ASAP.
