The Role

• The role of Technical Assistant is to assist the manager in the business development of the product ranges with new and existing customers.
• To provide excellent customer service and troubleshooting.
• Aid with the business development of current and new product ranges
• Providing technical support with timely follow up to customer requests
• First point of contact for customers
• Understand customer commercial and technical needs and opportunities.
• Research customer and the current marketplace requirements.
• Co-operate with and support the relevant internal departments
• Inputting sales orders and following them through to Invoice.

The Person

• Must have a degree in Chemistry or a relevant science subject.
• Practical experience in a sale’s based or customer service role is desirable.
• Excellent standard of written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literate.
• Excellent Telephone manner.
• Driven, determined and competitive.
• Smart and well presented.
• Self- motivated with the ability to use own initiative.
• Must be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Full and clean driving licence (preferable).
• It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Technician, Quality Control Chemist, Sales Assistant, Customer Service Assistant, Telesales.
