Our client is a market leader in the process sector. Due to growth they now have a requirement for a Technical Assistant ideally with a background in Chemistry.
Job Specification
The Role
- The role of Technical Assistant is to assist the manager in the business development of the product ranges with new and existing customers.
- To provide excellent customer service and troubleshooting.
- Aid with the business development of current and new product ranges
- Providing technical support with timely follow up to customer requests
- First point of contact for customers
- Understand customer commercial and technical needs and opportunities.
- Research customer and the current marketplace requirements.
- Co-operate with and support the relevant internal departments
- Inputting sales orders and following them through to Invoice.
The Person
- Must have a degree in Chemistry or a relevant science subject.
- Practical experience in a sale’s based or customer service role is desirable.
- Excellent standard of written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literate.
- Excellent Telephone manner.
- Driven, determined and competitive.
- Smart and well presented.
- Self- motivated with the ability to use own initiative.
- Must be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Full and clean driving licence (preferable).
- It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Technician, Quality Control Chemist, Sales Assistant, Customer Service Assistant, Telesales.
