Job Specification

The role

• Candidate should have experience of working in a fast-paced Production environment
• Checking at various stages of the process, taking samples, feeding machines / lines
• Quality inspection, following SOPs, transferring completed units to warehouse
• Completing paperwork, making sure each stage of production has been met
• Following the company’s health and safety policies / guidelines
• Using hand tools to assemble and finish off products including hammers, drills and screw drivers
• Maintain the machines integrity and report any damage that has been caused to the relevant person
• Ensure that the finished product is packaged correctly in line with either Company or Customer requirements.
• Work to minimise lost production time through efficient practice and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary both now and, in the future, to meet the business needs.
• Carrying out general laboring duties within a factory environment
• General housekeeping duties carried out, making sure own area is kept clean and tidy
• Strict daily targets and deadlines, which are monitored by team leader

The Person

• Flexible attitude to working hours and able to do days and nights
• Manufacturing operating background is highly desirable within an extrusion environment
• Must have a valid Counterbalance and Reach certificate
• Should have ability to operate within a team, or individually
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Must have previous experience of working in a production environment
• Must be target driven individual, and be flexible for over time, due to the variance of shifts

The Hours

• The position is working 12-hour shifts, days and nights.
• There is plenty of overtime available and the opportunity to start in a growing business with potential room for contracts.
