The Role

• The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction to the New Product Development team, driving product value through creativity and innovation. 
• This is a challenging and exciting role reporting to the MD and will form an integral part of the engineering management team.
• The successful candidate will be an influential member of the team, focused on ensuring that innovative materials, components, products and technologies are researched, investigated and implemented, strengthening the company’s position of technology leadership and supporting the organisations growth strategy.
• The role is ‘hands on’ and the successful candidate will provide engineering management to projects within business units. 
• Working in cross functional teams supporting the departmental and operational requirements of the business, with key focus on technical risk management, continuous improvement and the introduction of innovative solutions that will provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The Person

• The candidate will be an experienced Engineering Manager, with demonstrable results in new product innovation, development of engineering teams, the implementation of best practice and project delivery.
• You will have a core knowledge base in Mechanical Engineering essential.
• A background in equipment/machinery design is essential.
• Ideally you will be degree qualified.
• You will have experience of working with cross functional teams.
• You must have 3D design experience preferably with Solidworks.
