Job Specification

The Role

• To carry out specific process control checks within production and storage areas throughout the shift
• To ensure the food safety, quality and integrity of product is met at all times.
• To ensure incoming products are received in the required specification.
• Lead by example. Be organised, pro-active, and display excellent organisational & communication skills.
• To record all process control checks information on process control sheets.
• To report any identified non-conformities to Department Supervisor or Department Manager.
• To adhere to the correct quality checking, record keeping and housekeeping standards.
• To follow instructions, guidelines, company policies and procedures any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the company.

The Person

• Confident in working unsupervised on own initiative.
• High level of organizational skills and ‘can do attitude’.
• Working to ensure high standards of Health and Safety and Food Safety are adhered to.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the team.
• Ability to accurate record keeping.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• High level of organizational skills and ‘can do attitude’.
• IT skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Previous experience and knowledge of butchery specifications desirable.
• Previous experience within the red meat processing industry desirable.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent desirable.
