Company Description

We are proudly representing our engineering client with their search for a new Electrical Maintenance Technician. They are looking for the right candidate to help them on a temporary basis. 

Job Specification

The Role

  • Ensure machinery plant in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule
  • Covering of breakdowns and modifications to equipment and machinery
  • Planned maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • Attend to breakdown repairs and reduce machine and process downtime
  • Maintain an acceptable level of quality while ensuring manufacturing efficiency is maintained.
  • Investigate, analyse and problem solve complex engineering problems and implement appropriate countermeasures,
  • Implementation of new process

The Person

  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similarly qualified with 3 years’ experience from apprenticeship
  • Possess essential PLC skills (to fault finding and diagnostics level) and to have come from a progressive bespoke/medium fast-manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in carrying out planned and preventive maintenance
  • Ability to investigate complex engineering problems and carry out the relevant repairs
  • New Process Implementation
  • Implementation and running of a PPM system
  • Experience of 5S and Continuous Improved Programmes
  • PC Literate (Microsoft office, CMMS)
  • Is able to demonstrate and understanding of Quality Systems (ISO9001)
