This technology rich specialist manufacturing company, who support many of the world’s leading equipment manufacturers, have an immediate requirement to recruit an experienced maintenance technician to support their facility on a day shift basis. You will be working on state-of-the-art PLC controlled systems, with opportunities to develop their PPM and TPM systems. Job Specification

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the maintenance of all processing equipment and facilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Ensure high levels of availability, efficiency of all production facilities
  • Thorough investigations carried out of major breakdowns and recurrence prevention measures implemented
  • Allocation of work to maintenance technicians against business and operational priorities.
  • Holiday planning and absence management.
  • Control and allocation of shift patterns.
  • Developing and maintaining planned maintenance systems.
  • Analysis and reporting of equipment breakdown.
  • Generation of improvement activities to reduce downtime across plant.
  • Adhere to H&S/Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Respond readily to requests which require flexibility and mobility.

The Person

  • The successful candidate must be multi skilled with an electrical bias.
  • The person who is recruited for this role will therefore need to be a proactive thinker and possess excellent communication & organisational skills to make an important contribution towards the maintenance activities. 
  • Multi skilled engineering discipline or have successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship. 
  • Experience should be in a multi-skilled manufacturing environment within Engineering/Maintenance background.
  • Hours are – 7.00am – 15:30 M-T, 7.00am-13:00 on a Friday.
