MTrec are proudly representing one of the North East leading manufacturers. As they continue to grow our business, we are looking to recruit a qualified Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (mechanical and electronics) in their busy machine shop. You will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance of our equipment; this permanent full-time position is to ensure that all manufacturing equipment is fully operational at all times.
Job Specification
The Role
- Responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of all of our Fanuc based equipment.
- Responsible for reacting to and dealing with breakdowns in machinery on both the machining and assembly sides of the business
- Plans and executes assigned modification, repair and/or maintenance projects with a high degree of complexity with respect to costs, quality, safety and environmental aspects
- Analyses technical problems on site
- Executes start of operation of production service and systems
- Executes mechanical and/or electrical repairs and works orders
- Maintains proper documentation
- Contributes to installation projects on site
- Supports maintenance of technical documentation of processes and equipment
- Dismantles, repairs, assembles and installs mechanical/electrical components on sit
- Performs tests and verifies correct functioning
- Sets up and commissions machines and devices
- Supports accountable engineers and other technicians in their tasks, both in maintenance and production
- Checks completeness of documents and components for the proper execution of mechanical and electrical tasks
- Prepares mechanical and electrical tools and equipment for use
The Person
- Must have a relevant qualification in a maintenance and/or engineering discipline
- Must have had industry experience working within an automotive engineering/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- A working knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, automotive production processes
- Must be computer literate with a very good knowledge in the use of MS-Office packages
- Must have very good communication skills (oral and written)
- Must have a full UK drivers licence (may be required to go and get spare parts)
