Our client is a leading manufacturer within their specialist field. They are currently looking for a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join their successful team.
Job Specification
The Role
- Assist in management of the company Quality Management Syste
- Control of all product validation and Compliance of Production (CoP) testing
- All aspects AQPQ, notably; PFMEA, DVP&R and Control Plans, working closely with manufacturing Engineering.
- Achieve business plan targets with particular consideration to quality, cost, delivery, development, service, safety and morale.
- Analysis, reporting and development of key quality performance indicators.
- Continuous improvement of all Quality systems and functions.
- Statistical analysis and Six Sigma tools i.e. 5W1H, SIPOC, VSM, Root Cause Analysis, DOE, CpK, PpK, ANOVA, T-test etc.
- 8D reporting (internal and external).
- Internal Quality Management System Auditing to ISO9001 and Process auditing to VDA6.
- Control of all Calibration activity.
- Assist is the development and maintenance of workplace risk assessments.
- Robust error proofing and poke yoke, considering the product as well as all stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Identify, justify and initiate capital projects based on the needs of the business using Pareto analysis and other tools.
- Communicate effectively throughout the organisation, globally.
- Develop and improve quality related documentation and procedures.
- Assist Manufacturing engineering in Process release, Plant floor change Approval and Safe launch Plans for NPI and new manufacturing processes.
- Work with purchasing and suppliers globally, to attain optimum quality, value and manufacturability.
- Provide technical support on customer visits and events.
- Assist program managers in capital project activity using the companies gate process
- Key involvement in Change management process (CR/CO) for the companies QA function
- Support all Operational excellence activities and develop QA function, as necessary.
- Ensure relevant Health and safety/environmental practice is in-line with company policies and legislative requirements.
The Person
- Degree in Quality Engineering (or similar
- Experience in a role within a Manufacturing Environment
- IRCA 17955 Lead Auditor Certified.
- Experience of Oracle ERP and MES system is desirable.
- This work is fast-paced and deadline-oriented and requires flexibility within the work day.
