Job Specification

The Role

• Preparation and cutting of bars, beams, hollow sections and sheets for welding
• Carry out assembly and tacking of sheet metals parts and frames in various metals including carbon steel and stainless steel
• Working to tight tolerances
• MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG welding
• Finish metals to an extremely high standard, clean, brush and polish
• Cutting of varying tubes and pipes from 6mm OD to 6” NB
• Taking of measurements for fabrication and forming of tubing and pipes
• Carry out tube and pipe bending using hand tube bender, hydraulic swing tube bender and 37 degree hydraulic or electrical swaging machine
• Installation of fabrications and tubing
• Using EO2 form swaging machine
• Flushing & Pressure Testing
• working and following engineering drawings

The Person

• Experience Welder Fabricator and Pipe Fitter with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within each backgroun
• Ability to MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG weld
• Past experience of assembly and tacking of sheet metals parts and frames in various metals including carbon steel and stainless steel
• Ability to bend tubes and pipes using various hand tools and machinery including; hand tube bender, hydraulic swing tube bender and 37 degree hydraulic or electrical swaging machine
• Ability to finish metals to a high standard and carry out cleaning, brushing and polishing
• Experience of Flushing & Pressure Testing and using EO2 form swaging machine
• Work accurately from engineering drawings and taking measurement for fabrication and forming of tubing and pipes
• Must Hold Full UK Driving Licence
