Job Specification

The Role

• Welding and fabrication of sheet metals 3mm+
• Working with various metals including Stainless Steel, Nickel alloys and Titanium
• Working from drawings and product specifications to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products
• Development of sheet metal templates from customer requirements.
• Layout and mark dimensions to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates.
• Set up and operate machinery including Pneumatic riveting equipment, Spot welding machines, shears, brake presses, forming rolls, to cut, bend, form, straighten and join materials
• TIG Welding bolting , rivet, screw, clip or bonding  of component parts to assemble product
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces.
• Repair and maintain sheet metal products.
• Inspect products for compliance with specifications and quality requirementsUse of Vernier measuring equipment.

The Person

• Experienced Sheet Metal Worker
• Ability to TIG weld various metals
• Must be capable of fabricating and welding a range of sheet metals 3mm+ including Stainless Steel, Nickel alloys and Titanium
• Ability to set and operate tool room machinery including Pneumatic riveting equipment, Spot welding machines, shears, brake presses, forming rolls, to cut, bend, form, straighten and join materials
• Experience of finishing metal work including Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces.
• Ability to carry out quality inspections including use of measuring equipment
• Able to follow drawings and products specifications accurately
