MTrec Recruitment is proudly representing this market leading specialist manufacturing company in their search to appoint an experienced and motivated Quality Inspector.

The company are looking for someone to support them in all aspects of quality inspection, from goods in to production checks and final inspection. You will have excellent problem-solving skills, be highly organised and be able to provide a very good attention to detail. You must have worked in an engineering or manufacturing environment and be able to read technical drawings as well as being skilled in using quality measuring equipment – Vernier’s, Gauges etc.

Job Specification

The Role

  • To carry out goods inwards inspections for all component parts entering the company to ensure compliance to design specifications
  • Identify and record any non-conformances and liaise with the technical department to resolve the issue.
  • Generate the non-conformance (NCN) and control stock segregations into quality control
  • Complete a range of quality inspection duties, for goods inward, production checks and final inspection.
  • Consider problems as a challenge, collect information relevant to the problem and be disciplined in ascertaining the root cause, identify and develop a practical solution, communicate the findings and implement action to resolve the problem.
  • Search out errors; rectify omissions, perfect systems & procedures which will ultimately raise the quality and standards of all tasks undertaken.
  • Remain rational when dealing with others, work within organisational requirements, be systematic and factual when dealing with colleagues and be able to handle conflict with logic until a solution becomes available.
  • Generate monitoring systems that identify whether, self, others or the organisation is achieving their objectives.
  • Ensure that corrective action plans are formulated and implementedParticipate in a positive team atmosphere through hard work, calmness, tolerance and consistency, attempting to fulfil work projects with honesty and integrity.
  • Establish, build and stabilise relationships by listening to what others have to say thus digesting and absorbing the facts in order to respond and take action.
  • Encourage a high level of performance in self and others.
  • Develop trust in people and be willing to smooth relationships and advise and assist others when needed.
  • Adopt an accommodating and helpful manner, debate, agree and where necessary accept the objectives set by others and work within agreed parameters in order to ensure tasks are complete. 

The Person

  • Previous and recent quality inspection experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment is essential.
  • Skilled in reading engineering drawings and using quality measurement tools – Vernier’s, Gauges etc.
  • You will be looking for a friendly team-based environment.
  • You will display a consistent, positive attitude.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Have an excellent attention to detail.
