The Role

• Design and commission software and associated hardware on new cells or in in existing lines
• Carry out testing of machine safety and related control systems.
• Manage and progress suppliers against a project timeline.
• Oversee and plan onsite installations and manage external contractorsChair meetings and engage and negotiate with internal customers in order to form agreements.
• Maintain and update facility standards using lessons learned from previous experience.
• Ensure KPI targets are met on newly installed and existing chassis assembly equipment.
• Issue clear reports regarding project status and ensure any roadblocks are escalated appropriately.
• Support the Process Development Leader in the progressing and completion of project related tasks.
• Guide assembly facility suppliers in the design of controls, safety and electrical systems and ensure standards are followed.

The Person

• HNC in a Mechatronics
• The ability to plan and manage your own time and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• The ability to modify automated software sequences.
• A good knowledge of designing production facilities in the aspects of controls, electrical and safety.
• An understanding of chassis assembly processes.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage external suppliers and contractors.
