The Job You’ll Do;
- Ensure that all requirements of APQP and PPAP are documented, maintained, reviewed and meet Customer / Internal expectations.
- Design and development of suitable measurement gauge concepts with Supplier / Customer.
- Provide directional guidance during Design , DFM, PFMEA, Control Plan reviews and ensure Lessons Learnt have been incorporated.
- Support Product / Equipment follow up and buy-off activities at facility providers.
- Ensure compliance to existing company Systems and Procedures to support TS16949.
- Develop and maintain FMEA’s, Control Plans and internal documentation through development phases until handover to the plant NPI quality engineering team.
- Perform detailed tolerance studies to assist product DFM activities.
- Provide timing for quality related activities and ensure quality milestones are met.
- Statistical analysis of measurement results, providing relevant Quality data to Project Team members and defining corresponding corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain world class levels of Quality Engineering.
- Escalate issues that could potentially undermine the program.
- Ensure during product development adherence to Legal and Customer specific requirements.
- Manage and assist in concern investigation, countermeasure implementation during development and pre-series build phases utilising appropriate problem solving techniques where required.
- Compilation of Customer specific documentation during Prototype, Preproduction build phases.
- Act as quality interface with the customer for all topics related with quality.
About You;
- Educated to a minimum HNC level in an Engineering/Manufacturing discipline.
- Quality Assurance Qualification would be beneficial - IQA/CQI
- A good working knowledge of metal forming and fabrication processes.
- Appropriate experience working within a high-volume Customer facing Senior role with good working knowledge of IATF16949 / ISO9001.
- Thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems and OEM Customer Specific Requirements.
- Must be prepared to travel and work in project-bound Plants within the company network and visiting of supplier sites, at planned frequencies during the project lifecycle.
- A proven background of leadership abilities combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and manage resources to achieve objectives and priorities despite conflicting agendas and multiple deliverables.
