Job Specification

The Role 

• Hands on involvement in designing modular wiring Lighting and Lighting Control systems for commercial, healthcare and residential buildings.
• Working Knowledge of Automated test gear design utilising Labview related software.
• Working Knowledge of Drawing package including Cad/3D/Solidworks.
• Working closely with Major M&E Contactors and specifiers.
• An ability to understand and apply Standards to products / systems.
• Overseeing Building of engineering samples and monitoring of the first production build.
• Work with all departments to continually improve work systems and practices.
• Liaise with external companies for component re-design where necessary.
• Document / record changes to design progress.
• Assist in the approval of electrical products and FMEA processes.
• Oversee the design build and maintaining of test equipment hardware and software
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations and procedures.
• Identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities.
• External Customer and Project support.

The Person

• Degree qualified Electrical/Electronic related subject
• Previous experience within the electrical manufacturing industry.
• Product approval experience to relevant standards.
• Electronics fault finding experience.
• Must have a strong personalitySelf-motivated.
• Able to be flexible in their approach to the position.
• Work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
